The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), also known as "No Child Left Behind" Legislation, requires school districts to annually report on progress outlining very specific information. This includes The Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) test results broken down by achievement levels, ethnicity, gender, disability, English proficiency, Migrant and economically disadvantaged; two year individual SBA trends and State comparisons; graduation rates; school goals and schools identified for improvement. The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction has complied all the data required by the ESEA law. Information on the Lakewood School District can be found at: http://reportcard.ospi.k12.wa.us. In addition, the District is required to notify you by law of specific information such as discrimination notices, or use of alcohol or illegal drugs on campus, violations of dangerous weapons, or Title I requirements (click here to review).
