| Daily Aerobic Activity | 10% of grade |
| Fitness Testing | 20% of grade |
- Students will lose credit for the day if they are truant (unexcused absent) or are unexcused non-suited.
- Attendance and participation are important to students' success. If the student accumulates 5 unexcused non-suits, 5 unexcused absences (truancies) and/or 11 total absences he/she may lose credit (see LHS student handbook for further clarification).
- All days that a student is excused from class (activities) because of illness or injury will be counted as an excused non-suit.
- Students are required to "make up" all absences (from school and/or activity) exceeding a total of 10 days.
- Behavior or attendance contracts may be written for students appealing the potential loss of credit for the course.
- If suspended from school, the student must do one hour of physical activity for every day they are out of class. The activity should be recored on paper and signed (or verified) by a parent/guardian and turned in on the day the student returns to school.
- A point system of grading will be utilized as follows:
6 grading units x 80 points (each) = 480 points
6 fitness tests x 10 points (each) = 120 points
Semester = 600 total points
| 92-100 percent = A | 72-77 percent = C |
| 90-91 percent = A- | 70-71 percent = C- |
