Who is Ron Thor?
Mr. Thorvilson graduated from Edmonds High School and received his B.A. and M.A. from Central Washington University . After graduation from CWU his first two years of teaching were in the Edmonds School District . After marrying, Mr. Thorvilson moved to Clarkston , Washington where he taught for four years, three of which were at Clarkston High School . Mr. Thorvilson then moved back to western Washington where he taught one year at MPHS, a year in the Mukilteo School District , before coming to LHS. He has taught at LHS from the first day that LHS opened at its present site. Mr. Thorvilson has taught all levels of English, along with weight training, reading and leadership. He has also served as activities coordinator, athletic director and head boys' basketball coach while teaching at Lakewood . Mr. Thorvilson is married. His wife, Ginny, is also a teacher. She teaches second grade at Allen Creek Elementary in Marysville. He has identical twin daughters; Alison, a graduate of WSU, who works for an advertising firm in downtown Seattle ; and Ashley, a graduate of the UW, who works for the Seattle Seahawks as an account manager.
