Testing begins on April 14th and ends on April 23rd. Testing begins at 7:45 am, and it is best if the students could plan to be at school the entire day.
As a parent, you can do a lot to help your child be successful. Ask how the testing went each day, but do avoid dwelling on test answers. Maintain your normal household routine, and make sure your child gets adequate sleep.
Students who take the spring WASL in grades 3-8 get their scores from their school in September.
Use our Basmati system to check on your child's progress at school. Click here, enter your student's password and ID (this can be obtained from the student's homeroom teacher) and then select LMS as your school of choice to begin.

Help our school raise money!
Lakewood Middle School is now participating in the eScrip program which is a way for schools and on-campus groups (including sports programs) to raise funds
through everyday purchases made at eScrip merchants. To learn how you can participate, please click on this link.
What to do on snow days:
~listen to your local news station on TV or the radio
~call the emergency hotline at 360-652-4501, extension 9061
~call the middle school office at 360-652-4510
~go to http://www.schoolreport.org/
If your student stays home from school on a day when school is open, the office needs a phone call from a parent or guardian stating that the child is staying home due to weather or transportation issues. Your student will be excused for weather-related absences.
Early Release Times-- Please note that the early release time for LMS has been changed for this year. On early release days, students will now be dismissed at 11:05am rather than last year's early dismissal time of 10:00am. Regular school hours are 7:35am-2:05pm.

Parking
Lot Safety:
Dropping off students (7:15-7:35AM)- please pull up to the south
end of the bus lane (by the flag pole) to drop students off. Rather
than pass any parked cars, please be patient and wait for the
car ahead of you to go. Please have your student ready to exit
the car as soon as your car reaches the drop off spot.Picking
up students (2:05-2:15PM)-please form 2 lines down the middle
of the parking lot. After picking up your student, please wait
until the car ahead of you has left before you go. Please yield
to our buses.
Mission
Statement:

create a safe learning environment where everyone works together
to help each student achieve high academic standards.
