Parents,
here are some activities you can do with your child:
- Point to letters as
you sing the alphabet song.
- Point to random
letters and ask your child to say the sounds.
- Point to random
letters and ask your child to say the letter names.
- Say a random letter
and ask your child to name the letter that comes before or after it,
using the chart as needed.
- Print page and
practice copying letters.
- Print page, cut
letters into squares. Place squares face down on surface and have
child turn over square and identify letter. Other variations include
turn over and say sound; say a word that starts with that sound; write
a word that starts with the sound; use letters to spell words.
