Students are encouraged to continue developing their math through skill development, problem solving, and application. Students should be practicing their math facts at home so we can spend time applying facts and skills at school.

We will be working our way through the math GLEs this year through individual, partner, and group work. Math journals are a critical element of our math communication and will prepare students for the WASL in the spring.

Math strands covered this year:

  • Number Sense

  • Measurement

  • Geometric Sense

  • Probability and Statistics

  • Algebraic Sense

  • Problem Solving

  • Communicate Understanding

  • Making Connections
