    Seniors visit their former teachers and schools

    Lakewood has a special tradition of having graduates visit all the schools to give high-fives to younger students on Commencement Day. Some students make signs for graduates. Seniors enjoy their rock-star treatment and the chance to see former teachers, siblings and younger students. Congratulations, class of 2024!

    LHS teacher is Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction

    Lakewood High School science teacher Mike Fellows was awarded the Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction by the National Society of High School Scholars. The honor is presented to teachers based on their dedication to teaching and learning and the difference that they are making as a role model, source of inspiration, and leadership in their profession. Fellows was nominated for this honor by senior Kaitlyn Grant, who is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars.

    Lakewood FFA brought home 14 blue ribbons, 2 red ribbons, and 3 Class Champion ribbons at the Puget Sound Junior Livestock Show at the Skagit County Fairgrounds.

    Pottery students bring elementary drawings to clay

    If you can dream it, these advanced pottery students can make it! Second graders at Lakewood Elementary let their imaginations run wild, designing fantastical creatures. LHS students brought these 2D drawings to life as 3D clay sculptures, and the LES students had the joy of painting them alongside their high school buddies.
