Strategic Direction Committee
The strategic planning process provides an opportunity for district stakeholders to build a collaborative vision for the future. Over the 2024-25 school year, the Strategic Planning Committee will co-create the 2025-2030 Lakewood School District Strategic Plan to guide Lakewood's work over the next five years.
While developing the Lakewood Compact beginning in 2019, members of the Lakewood community identified a set of commitments. To ensure that the strategic planning process was grounded and focused, a survey was created and sent to parents, students, staff, and community members (September 16 – October 4, 2024). The survey asked whether our community still agrees with the three strategic priorities outlined in the Lakewood Compact:
- Service, Leadership and a Community of Caring
- Equitable Access to Powerful Learning
- Collaborative Community and Programmatic Partnerships
There were 315 responses. Feedback from this survey was critical in solidifying the three priorities that will serve as the foundational pillars of the district strategic plan. As a result of feedback from this survey, one change was made to the third priority:
- Service, Leadership and a Community of Caring
- Equitable Access to Powerful Learning
- Collaborative Family and Community Engagement
