Custodians help our schools shine!
Lakewood School District's custodians help keep our schools clean, safe, and ready for learning! We have both morning and afternoon/evening custodian positions.
Custodians play a key role in our schools by:
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
- Cleaning windows, walls, and other surfaces
- Taking care of minor repairs (like tightening pencil sharpeners and oiling locks)
- Changing light bulbs and maintaining heating and ventilation systems
- Shoveling and sanding walkways as needed
- Unpacking and organizing custodial supplies
- Monitoring supply levels and helping with inventory
- Communicating with other custodians and the Facilities Supervisor about building needs
