Transportation

Please contact the Transportation Office if your student goes to and/or from school from a different address other than the Family 1 address in Skyward (Family Access). Our routing computer program resets every school year to the home address so this step needs to be done every year. We want to be prepared to transport your students to the correct bus stop in our school district. This includes daycares, grandparents or other family locations. Thank you for your assistance as we strive to provide the necessary transportation to help our students get to and from school safely.

Some middle school and high school students who live near our schools walk to and from school as a result of updated walking routes and improved pedestrian infrastructure in our community. As more students travel on foot each day, we are asking everyone to help make their journey as safe as possible.

Please help by:

• Watching carefully for students walking near schools, neighborhoods, and designated walking routes.
• Slowing down and remaining alert, especially during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal times.
• Obeying all posted speed limits and traffic signs in school zones.
• Following the directions of our crossing guards, who are being trained and will be stationed at key crossing locations, including the railroad crossing.
• Allowing extra travel time during the first few weeks of school as students, families, and drivers adjust to new routines.

During drop-off and pickup times, our roads can become congested. If you are driving your student, please exercise caution and patience at all times. The safety of our students is a shared responsibility. By working together and showing patience and care, we can help ensure that every student has a safe trip to and from school.
