Information for Families
Welcome to Lakewood School District!
The Lakewood School District is a growing community that has placed students at its center. Our families live in unincorporated Snohomish County and parts of Marysville and Arlington in Washington state.
We are dedicated to the growth of each of our 2,500 students. Staff, administrators, students and community leaders work together to fulfill the following commitments, as outlined in our Lakewood Compact:
- Service, Leadership and a Community of Caring
- Equitable Access to Powerful Learning
- Collaborative Community and Programmatic Partnerships
Some of our programs that help meet the needs of each of our learners:
Special Education
Lakewood provides special education services to eligible children, ages 3 to 21. The district provides free screenings. Learn more about what developmental milestones to look for in your child and how to schedule an appointment.

The Highly Capable Program is designed to address the learning needs of students who qualify through a continuum of service models that span from kindergarten to 12th grade.
