Request auxiliary aids and services

Effective Communication Policy & Procedures

Lakewood School District is committed to ensuring that all programs, activities, meetings, and services are accessible to individuals with disabilities. In alignment with federal and state laws, the District provides auxiliary aids and services—such as interpreters, captioning, Braille materials, and assistive technologies—to ensure communication is as effective for individuals with hearing, vision, or speech disabilities as it is for others.

To request auxiliary aids or services, please use the form below (a printer-friendly version of the form is available here). While use of the form is optional, it helps ensure clarity and timely support. District staff are available to assist with completing the form if needed.

If you or someone you know needs support to participate in a District-sponsored event, please submit a request as early as possible—ideally at least seven days in advance.

Questions and concerns relating to communication with persons with hearing, vision, and/or speech disabilities may be directed to ADA Coordinator Lissan Wipfli, lwipfli@lwsd.wednet.edu
