World Languages Competency Assessment

Lakewood School District offers world language competency testing for free for students who can fluently speak, write, read, and listen in a language other than English. Students in grades 7-12 can earn high school credit in a world language by demonstrating their language proficiency on this assessment. Students can earn up to four credits.

If the language score is high enough, a student can also earn a Seal of Biliteracy added to the high school diploma. You may be interested in having your student take this assessment if they can read, write, speak and listen in another language other than English.
