Lakewood School District offers a free, full-day Transitional Kindergarten program designed to help students build a strong educational foundation before they enter kindergarten.
The Transitional Kindergarten program begins in late January 2026. To be eligible, children must turn 5 years old on or before August 31, 2026.
Priority enrollment will be given to students who have not had an opportunity to participate in a preschool program. The class is open to students living in the Lakewood School District attendance area.
