Washington Guaranteed Admissions Program (WAGAP)

Lakewood School District is proud to be partnering with the Washington Guaranteed Admissions Program (WAGAP) to offer students who are choosing college as their next step an incredible opportunity.

WAGAP can guarantee students admission to six four-year public universities in the state if they meet these two criteria:

  1. Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
  2. Complete or are on track to complete all the College Academic Distribution Requirements (CADRs)

The six colleges currently participating in WAGAP

  • Central Washington University
  • Eastern Washington University
  • The Evergreen State College
  • University of Washington, Tacoma
  • Washington State University
  • Western Washington University

WAGAP helps students in 11th and 12th grades feel confident in the knowledge that they will be admitted to a university even before they apply.

WWU Guaranteed Admissions

Through the Western Guaranteed Admission Program, eligible seniors at participating high schools are directly admitted to Western — no application and no fee required. 

  • High school students with a 2.75 GPA or higher
  • Must meet Washington State high school graduation requirements
  • Currently attending a high school located in one of these counties:
    • Island County
    • San Juan County
    • Skagit County
    • Snohomish County
    • Whatcom County

WWU Guaranteed Admission letters will be sent to eligible high school seniors in December with instructions for next steps.
