Hello Lakewood Cougar Families:
We are so excited to have students back on April 12th! Hopefully you all received the mailer from us with many important documents! Please note that attendance will be taken the week of April 12th on your child’s asynchronous days via an attendance task through TEAMS. Students will begin zooming into their classes on asynchronous days starting April 19th. All students will attend 1st, 2nd and 3rd period via zoom on Wednesday, April 14th from 10am-11:40am. I have attached a block schedule for you to reference.
We hope your conferences went well and that you were able to meet with all of the teachers that you wanted to meet with!
Our counselors have visited all of the classrooms to discuss registration for the 2021-2022 school year. Please discuss future courses with your child! Also, remind them that registration forms are due Friday April 2nd! We want them to be in the courses they choose, so please have them turn in their registration form. Thank you for your attention to this.

A note from your school nurse, Jolene Cox:
As we prepare for a return to in person learning on April 12th, there are items that must be addressed.
All students must have a complete vaccination record on file. Any student who currently has an incomplete record was sent a letter explaining what vaccines are needed to attend. Any students who are not in compliance will not be allowed to attend.
I have also sent home IHPs and medication order requests to all students with life threatening health concerns, such as asthma, diabetes, and severe allergies. Students with these conditions must have medication orders on file. Any medications should be brought into the health room by a parent/guardian. The medication must have a prescription label. If your student has a health concern and you did not receive a packet, please contact me. For your student's safety, these orders and medications must be turned into the health room before your student begins attending.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at 360-652-4505 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have a great evening!
Lakewood High School Principal
We want all of our students here, learning and connecting and enjoying high school, each and every day! It is so important for students to be on time and be present for every class. If you have any questions at all on attendance, please feel free to contact me! You can also check your child’s attendance on Skyward if you are ever curious.
Cell Phone information:
Cell phones can be used in the classroom for educational purposes only. Each teacher will explain how cell phone use works in their class. Students should not be on their phones during class texting, on social media, or for any reason other than school related. We ask parents to not text their children during the school day unless it is an absolute emergency. You can contact the secretary, Mrs. Connor, if you need to get ahold of your child. We will get all messages to them in a timely fashion. You can also contact your child during lunch, schedules are posted on the website. We are trying to teach our students how to manage their technology in different settings.
