ECE RECEIVES STATE AWARD
Congratulations ECE! On May 10, 2016 the State celebrated the achievement of English Crossing Elementary (ECE) during the Washington's Statewide School Awards Ceremony, at the Union Gap School District in Yakima, WA. Dr. Mack, Superintendent, and Bill Landry, ECE Principal, were both present to accept the award (see picture below).
Washington Achievement Award winners are selected using the State Board of Education Revised Achievement Index and are based on statewide assessment data for the three previous years. The award is given in seven categories: Overall Excellence, High Progress, English Language Arts Growth, math Growth, Extended Graduation Rate, English Language Acquisition, and Achievement Gap.
English Crossing Elementary School was recognized for:
- Overall Excellence
- High Progress
- English Language Arts Growth
- Math Growth
Once again, congratulations to Principal Bill Landry and his staff for their hard work in helping students find academic success. This is the third year in a row that ECE has been recognized as a Washington Achievement Award recipient.The Lakewood School Board will be recognizing Mr. Landry and his staff at the May 18, 2016 Board meeting. Please plan on attending to join in this celebration. The meeting will be held in the Board Room (ECE Portable #209) at 6:00 p.m
