    Is school a go? How will I know?

    District administrators begin evaluating conditions in and around our area beginning as early as 3:30 a.m. on days we experience severe weather. The decision to delay or close school is usually made by 5:30 a.m. The District uses a number of tools to communicate schedule changes to families. Learn more.

    LHS Cheer qualifies for State

    Lakewood High School Cheer qualified for the state competition on November 19 during Pride-a-Palooza at Bellarmine Preparatory School. The WIAA state championships are February 3-4 at Battle Ground High School.

    Stuff the Bus brings in nearly 4,000 pounds of food

    The Stuff the Bus event Saturday was a huge success! Lakewood Transportation collected 3,972 pounds of food, $400 in donations and four gift cards. Volunteers delivered the donations to the Arlington Food Bank and the Marysville Food Bank Saturday evening. Thank you to our volunteers, including bus drivers, spouses, cheerleaders, and National Honor Society members. And thank you to everyone who came and brought food!

    Board amends instructions to Comprehensive Sexual Health Education committee

    During its regular business meeting on November 2, the Lakewood Board of Directors approved amended instructions to the Comprehensive Sexual Health Education adoption committee to make a new proposal of three curricula, ranked ordered, for adoption. You may review the amended instructions with new parameters on our website.

    3 LHS cross country runners headed to state

    Three LHS Cross Country runners are headed to Pasco this week to compete in the State Championships! Qualifiers are: Liv Graham, Gabe Seagraves & Gavin Darrah, who placed 5th in the District meet, running the second-fastest time in school history.

    Five LHS students selected for Northwest Honor Band

    Lakewood High School will be well represented during the 2023 Northwest High School Honor Band this winter. Congratulations to senior Helena Burroughs on flute and juniors Isaias Fuentes-Palominos on baritone sax, Jeriah Gibb on percussion, Wyatt Labrecque on trumpet, and Leo Sandoval on double bass!
