Dear Lakewood Middle School Families –
Happy Wednesday, Cougar families! This week is a step aside from our in-person learning, but we are excited about being back on campus on April 12. Thank you for your flexibility in the change in schedule this week!
This week we are back in Distance Learning 2.0 and students have the schedule. This is the same zoom schedule that we had prior to March 8.
Starting on April 12, students at home on their asynchronous days will be zooming in with their class for the first 15 minutes of each class. Teachers will take attendance during this time and check in with all students. Please look for details from teachers tomorrow and Friday.
Last week, our counselors visited the 6th and 7th-grade science classes to share Registration information for next year. Since we went to distance learning on Thursday, our counselors will revisit the B classes after the break to finalize registration. If you have any questions, Steve Hecimovich is the 6th grade counselor (email@example.com) and Marli Bartness is our 7th and 8th grade counselor (firstname.lastname@example.org).
We have scheduled picture re-takes at LMS. We will have re-takes on Monday April 26th and Friday, April 30th. There will be opportunities for both students in hybrid and students in Edgenuity to have pictures taken if you missed our first day in October.
Edgenuity students – Counselors had scheduled zoom meetings last week to walk through the registration process. If you have questions, please contact our counselors or your Edgenuity coach for more information.
Upcoming important dates:
April 5-9: Spring Break – no classes
No on-site sports or sport zoom meetings during Spring Break.
April 12-13, 15-16: First week of asynchronous students zooming into classes for the first 15 minutes of each class
April 26 & 30: Picture re-takes @ LMS
Take care & stay healthy! Have a wonderful spring break!
