Free meals for all elementary students in Lakewood

Lakewood School District has been approved to operate the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) at our three elementary schools beginning in 2022-23. Breakfast and lunch will be available to all students at Cougar Creek Elementary, English Crossing Elementary and Lakewood Elementary at no cost.

Elementary families do not need to submit a free and reduced-price meal form to receive these free meals. Instead, as a requirement of the program, all elementary families will be asked to complete a short “Family Income Survey” in the coming weeks. The survey will ask for your household size and whether your family is above or below a specific income for that household size.

In addition to free meals, the Family Income Survey helps to establish other supports for students who may qualify. It is also an important tool to secure much-needed state funding for educational programs for students, such as the Learning Assistance Program (LAP).

If you also have a student at Lakewood Middle School or Lakewood High School, we encourage you to fill out a free and reduced-price meal form to see if that student qualifies for free or reduced-price meals along with other benefits such as waived ASB participation fees. The CEP program at Lakewood is only approved for elementary schools.
