LHS teacher is Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction

Lakewood High School science teacher Mike Fellows was awarded the Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction by the National Society of High School Scholars. The honor is presented to teachers based on their dedication to teaching and learning and the difference that they are making as a role model, source of inspiration, and leadership in their profession.

Fellows was nominated for this honor by senior Kaitlyn Grant, who is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. About Mr. Fellows, she wrote, “Mr. Fellows’ class was challenging and his teaching style was extremely informative. I have learned so much from him. I genuinely enjoyed his class because he was a kind, patient, and smart teacher. Mr. Fellows is the person who sparked my love for science, thanks to him I feel confident in my choice to major in the science field once I go to college.”
