Good afternoon English Crossing Elementary families,

We are excited to welcome students back on Tuesday, September 7th. Our updated routines are available on our district website. A few changes to note, students may be dropped off beginning at 8:20. Families may pull into the drop off lane and let their students out onto the sidewalk or park and walk students to the front door. We are asking families not to come into the building with students, even on the first day of school.  If you are new to ECE and would like to see the school before the first day of school, please stop by or call the office to make an appointment for a school tour. Teachers are not available this week to meet with families as they are in trainings and planning for the opening days. At dismissal, we are asking families to park and walk to the front of the building. A staff member will confirm who you are picking up and radio into the school to have your student sent outside.

It is very important that we know how your child is getting home each day afterschool. Please make sure to inform your child, their teacher, and/or the front office. Once a routine is established, we will only change the afterschool routine with permission from the parent or guardian. Please keep us informed when after school plans changed.

Kindergarten families will receive a communication from Kindergarten teachers to arrange an individual time to meet and see the school. These meetings happen during the “slow start” from September 7th-9th. Kindergarten teachers will share more about what the first day of Kindergarten will look like during those meetings.

If you have any questions about any of our opening day routines or schedule, please call the school. We look forward to partnering with you as we navigate this new school year.
