All School Celebration - Our students have earned another all-school celebration by following our Big 3 schoolwide expectations! We will be watching the movie "Inside Out" in all classrooms this Thursday, February 22nd. The movie is rated PG and features a young girl and her feelings. If you happen to own the movie on DVD, we would appreciate borrowing it for the day. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Kindness Month - February is Kindness month at ECE! Our counselor Mrs. Bartness has organized the entire month of February around the theme of Kindness. We have kindness activities, art projects, and a kindness spirt week (this week). Students have been given a Kindness Challenge Checklist that they can complete this month and turn in for a prize.

Books before Bedtime - In honor of Read Across America Week, we will be inviting families to join us on March 5th from 6:00pm-7:30pm (note the time change) for a Books Before Bedtime event. Teachers and staff will be sharing some of their favorite stories with students and their families. More details to follow.
Hit a Home Run in Reading - Our librarian, Mrs. Larrick, is encouraging all students to participate in theHit a Home Run in Reading Program. This program is sponsored by the Everett Aquasox. Our program will run from March 4th-March 29th. Students keep track of their reading on a reading log and turn in the log for prizes. Students can turn their reading logs in until April 12th. Mrs. Larrick will send everything home through the classroom teachers. Students who turn in their reading logs each week can earn a prize. If they turn in all four weeks of reading logs, they'll earn an AquaSox game ticket.

Second base: AquaSox pin voucher
Third base: Imagine Children’s museum voucher and,
Home Run: AquaSox game ticket
Yearbook - ECE yearbooks are now available to order. The cost is $13.00. Presale starts today and goes through March 31st. Yearbooks will arrive at the end of the school year. All sales will be processed through FireFly Images directly. We will no longer be sending home flyers and collecting money at school for yearbooks.
